Words have power, especially when they're set to music.

New Year's Day by Kenny

The night feels dormant as if all the blatant energy of the city was used up on last night's revelry and the night itself is recharging for its anual blare. It's let loose and let lie; say hello, say good-bye. The party is over and bodies are spent with exhaustion while souls are ever vigilant and evolving tirelessly and timelessly, pirouetting endlessly in the dance of life.  So put your new dreams to the test and see if they fit you as well as last night's dress or tux.  Your limo awaits to celebrate…

"Breathe in the Love" on Radio

A couple of years ago we wrote this song along with Drew Yowell.  We were encouraged to send our song in to Hay House radio by a Song Lips devotee and Cancer survivor.  Hay House radio is an internet radio station created by world renowned holistic healer and author, Louis Hay.  The station is devoted to bringing all kinds of healing modalities, including music to its listening audience. We are proud to be a part of that and we hope you tune in.  We always felt the song was healing.

Valentine's Day, 4th Year Anniversary and Dylan's Candy Bar the Song

February 14th is not only Valentine's Day it's also the 4th year anniversay of our website, SongLips.com.  In our continuing effort to sweeten the world one song at a time, we celebrate this happy occasion with the premiere of "Dylan's Candy Bar" -  the Song.  Taste it. You'll like it.  We were inspired by the Goddess of Chocolate herself - Dylan, and the candy universe she has created.

Phone Song -- The Sitcom/Our Lives

Some of you may or may not know that Kenny and I do our writing over the phone.  We call it Phone Song.  Many of the lyrics come out of conversations and our different ways of looking at life, even though our values are usually consistent.

Gina:  Kenny is a very private person and since he does not own a computer or take part in the internet, he sometimes finds it unnerving to have our ideas “out there” in some alternate universe where people he has never met have access to him.

 Kenny: Gina has her…

Memories of Tomorrow

We were going through some song memories and we came across this one.  We wanted to re-live it. It struck a chord in us, we hope it will do the same for you.

Starting a Blog

Kenny: "It's hard for me to reveal myself to the universe with out feeling a little unsettled, I'm private and I like to create myself in my own thoughts and let my art speak for itself."

Gina: "I want to start a blog with Kenny, so that we can show our different personalities and how that fits into our creativity.  Plus, we both have very different and interesting lives and we would make an awesome reality show."

You can sign up for our blog on Word Press and become part of our reality.

Ruby Slippers

In the further exploration of our own songs we revisit "Ruby Slippers".  It's good to know your own strengths.  We all have Ruby Slippers but, we don't always know that we're wearing them.  The answer is always inside us...what we need and want we have along.

Kenny - "This is one of my favorite songs. And since it's a year since my own "Ruby" came back from the dead, I celebrate the miracle of her recovery.  Hey Ruby--Bark on!  By the way, no one can sing this song as well as Gina, but Katy Perry, in case…

Take a Deep Breath and Move On......

We've been sitting on this song for awhile -- mesmerized by it.  We've been wanting to perfect it by an inspired production but don't have the money.  We decided to be real instead, forsake the production values and trust in its simplicity.

Kenny: "Gina first sang this at her show of our songs at the Metropolitan Room in August 2010.  The audience's mouths, including mine, were agape -- the applause still rings in my ears."

Gina: "I found a video clip of the show, which included my brothers…
